Job Title: Cottage Admin/Reception

Hours/Shift: 25 hours per week, plus additional hours may be required for holiday cover. Monday – Friday 3-8pm

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £7.20 /hour

To whom Individual Reports: Cottage Owner

Overall purpose of the Job:

To provide a professional and friendly service to all cottage customers, dealing with all their requirements.


Customer Care

•Check all cottage and apartment units to ensure all inventory items and equipment are provided in a useable order.

•Deal with all customer enquiries and requests, especially with reference to customer’s property.

•Show guests to their properties and pass on all appropriate information.

•Check and answer e- mails.

Control of Resources

•Responsible for the replacement of all items of inventory and following the requisitioning procedure for ordering the required stock of items.

•Where maintenance requirements are identified, to report these in accordance with maintenance reporting procedures.

•Reporting to Owner any areas where units do not comply with standards and policy, which are outside the scope of your responsibility.

Safety Procedures

•Ensure a basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and the control of hazardous substances and how to treat accidents.

•Responsible for the safety of self and guests adhering to Health and Safety and Fire regulations as defined by Company Policy.


•Checking the security of units that have been vacated but not serviced.

•Responsible for other duties reasonably requested to do from time to time.

•Input reservations on booking system and website.

•Laisse with Housekeeping

Qualifications and Experience


•Experience within the hospitality industry

•High school or equivalent

•High level of IT proficiency including a knowledge of Word and Excel

•Excellent communication, organisational and listening skills
